Real projects

Real projects

Real work made with Depicta: our own projects, and projects we made for others. Depicta is run by 30ohm.

Our own project

30ohm.com, designed and illustrated with Depicta

For 30ohm's new website, we skipped the designer and asked Depicta.

  1. Three homepage designs, as images. The first round looked generic. A sharper, more opinionated brief fixed it, and we picked one.
  2. Three ideas for a site that moves as you scroll. One became the site: a single night on an Athens rooftop, from the 21:04 deploy to the 06:40 next feature.
  3. The final pictures. Four night photos, kept consistent by passing the earlier ones as reference images. Then the whiteboard the camera pushes into, and the 404 illustration.

An AI coding agent then built the chosen design in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

What Depicta made

The design concepts, the scroll concepts and the six pictures on the site.

What we did ourselves

The code, the sketches drawn over the whiteboard, the founder's photo, and one typo on a whiteboard fixed by hand.

What we learned

  • Be opinionated in the brief. A vague brief gets a generic design.
  • Keep edits small. Big bold text added to a photo looked fake. Notes at the size of the existing handwriting looked real.
  • To keep a series consistent, pass the earlier pictures as reference images.

A researcher's project

A conference poster on homelessness in Greece, illustrated with Depicta

Researchers from the University of West Attica and NGO IASIS had their findings and a draft in Word. They needed an A0 poster for the European Social Work Research Conference 2026.

  1. The pictures. Depicta made the header scene, the diagram of the four themes, the methods flowchart and the closing illustration, all in one muted style.
  2. The layout. Claude set the text, the findings and the pictures on an A0 page and turned it into a print-ready PDF.

The finished A0 poster. The header, the two diagrams, the closing illustration and the background are AI-generated with Depicta; the text is the authors'.

What Depicta made

The header scene, the four-themes diagram, the methods flowchart, the closing illustration and the background texture.

What others did

The research, the text and the quotes are the authors'. The layout and the PDF were Claude's. The logos and the bottom-left illustration were supplied.

What we learned

  • Ask for every picture in one style, so they look like a set on the page.
  • Let the images carry the mood and put the facts in real text. Small text set as type stays sharp at A0.

From living room to catalog

Five household objects. A single prompt each. Zero studio equipment.

The same pipeline applied to real objects. Five things from a real living room — photographed on a phone in bad light — turned into a consistent product catalog, then restaged three different ways: a bright Scandi shelf, a warm walnut sideboard, and a three-tier open display. Same 5 source photos, three lifestyle scenes, one prompt each. No backdrops, no softboxes, no Photoshop. The first image is the raw phone photos we started from.

The Quiet Craft Keynote

A full conference deck, one shared visual system.

Seven slides for a fictional conference keynote — title, section divider, data chart, a 2×2 craft moments grid, photo + pull quote, full-slide quote, and closing. All seven share the same warm cream background, rust and forest accents, and editorial serif typography. Slide systems are exactly the kind of work AI assistants struggle with when generating one-off images; Depicta keeps the treatment consistent across the whole deck.

Technical Diagrams

From cloud architecture to coffee-stained napkins.

AWS and Kubernetes topologies with real service icons, modern data pipelines, OAuth sequences, mind maps — even a photographed hand-drawn sketch on notebook paper. Depicta handles many styles of diagram, not just clean boxes and arrows.

And everything in between

Logos. Posters. Book covers. Stickers. Menus. Merch.

Not every project is a full brand system or a case study. Sometimes you just need one great thing — a poster for a gig, a logo for a coffee roaster, a cover for a novel. Depicta handles the long tail of one-off creative work too.

Everyday creative

Birthday cards, postcards, invitations — anything worth printing.

Not every visual needs to be a case study. Sometimes you just want a nice card for a friend's birthday, or a postcard from a trip. Depicta helps with those too.
