Credits and billing
Depicta uses a pay-as-you-go credit system in EUR. No subscriptions.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Top up your balance in the dashboard — minimum EUR 5.
- Generate images — each generation deducts the actual cost from your balance.
- Process images — 20 processing operations for resizing, cropping, format conversion, and more.
- Check your balance anytime:
depicta balanceOr in any generation response (balance_eur field).
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”The cost of each generation depends on the model used. Prices shown in the Models page and the pricing endpoint are approximate — the actual cost is determined after generation and included in the response (cost_eur).

Section titled “How charges work”When you make a generation request, Depicta places a hold on your balance for the estimated cost. Once the image is generated and the actual cost is known, the hold is settled — if the actual cost is less than the hold, the remainder is returned to your balance immediately.
This means your available balance may temporarily appear lower during generation, but you are only charged the actual cost.
Once a generation request is accepted, it cannot be cancelled — even if your connection drops, the image will be generated and available for download for one hour. If a generation fails on our end, you are not charged.
Free trial
Section titled “Free trial”New accounts may receive free trial credits. The availability and amount of the trial can change — check the sign-up page or dashboard for current details.
Credit expiry
Section titled “Credit expiry”Credits are valid for 12 months from your last paid top-up. Purchasing more credits resets the clock for your entire balance.
Free trial credits and admin grants do not reset the expiry timer.
Balance tiers

Processing operations have a flat per-operation cost.
Payment
Section titled “Payment”Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles VAT calculation and collection. You can pay with credit or debit cards.
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”Under EU consumer law (14-day cooling-off period):
- Unused credits — full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- Used credits — non-refundable (digital content consumed).
- Free trial — no refund applicable.
- After 14 days — no refund obligation.
